Within the framework of the EMBRUNS experimental project, a wave "converter-devourer" solution is designed by LINEUP OCEAN to reduce the physico-chemical drivers at the origin of the corrosion of a major railroad track in the Occitanie region.
Thanks to the determination of an optimized and efficient macroscopic shape, the main role of this "converter-deviator" is to transform the incident energy of short swells generated by the wind at the water surface into a lateral hydrodynamic circulation conducive to the reduction of water heights in the deployment zone for different meteorological and marine forcing conditions The objective is to limit the phenomena of surge and aerosols generated by the effect of the wind on the wave crest while respecting the natural oxygenation of the environment and avoiding the eutrophication of the area thanks to our ultra-porous solutions.
LINEUP OCEAN, in collaboration with the companies Wave Bumper and P2A Développement, is carrying out a technical and financial feasibility study which will allow a detailed characterization of the study area and the dimensioning of a tailor-made solution with the aim of deploying an in-situ demonstrator which responds to the problems of the site.
