In Balaruc-les-Bains, LINEUP OCEAN demonstrates that a pier can become much more than a technical structure: a functional micro-reef in the heart of the Thau Lagoon. As part of the rehabilitation of the La Piscine site, the City chose to integrate biological functions into an existing infrastructure, transforming the submerged structure into a life support system.
Already equipped since 2024 with shell rings monitored over time, the piles have now reached a new stage with the integration of our 3D Spacers. A simple and robust solution to complexify the structure, create refuges and micro-habitats, and promote the hosting of benthic fauna and juvenile stages. This deployment also serves as a testing ground: testing new geometries under real conditions and accelerating the continuous improvement of low-tech designs.
Here, the structure no longer just supports: it aids in ecological rehabilitation. A concrete achievement, both modest and ambitious, that embodies our vision: evolving infrastructures into active supports, beneficial to life and territories.
